Auto Accident Procedure

As the driver of a company-owned vehicle, it is important to report any property damage incidents to your direct supervisor immediately, even if you think the damage is minimal. Please follow the steps below if you are involved in an Auto collision in a company truck.

  • Check for Injuries: The first thing you should do if you’re in an accident is to check yourself and the other driver for injuries. Call 9-1-1 immediately if there are injuries and request medical assistance if necessary.

  • Call your Supervisor: It is important to report any property damage incidents to your direct supervisor immediately, even if you think the damage is minimal.

  • Call Law Enforcement: Immediately call Law Enforcement. They will file an incident report, which is needed when filing an insurance claim. Law Enforcement will also provide you and the other driver with an Driver Exchange Report that you will need to provide to your supervisor.

  • Take Photos: Take photos of the accident scene. This includes photos of the damage to any and all vehicles involved and any other damaged property.

  • Complete an Incident Report: Click here or text “Teamsense” to (833) 601-0111 and you will receive a text back with links to the Incident Form and Proof of Auto Insurance Information.

If you are unable to get in touch with your direct supervisor, please notify the Safety Department:

  • Ben Fasse: (515) 210-9460

  • Anton Nichols: (515) 208-2572

If there is an injury that is not life-threatening, please notify the Safety Department so they can direct care and treatment for the employee. Work-related injuries must be reported and must be sent to our Occupational Injury Doctors and Clinics for Workers Compensation claims.
